Last week in the House in the Commons, Richard questioned the Leader of the House about the potential for a general debate about Park Homes, ahead of his visit to Brookside Park Homes in Bromham. The question can be watched here.

Richard Fuller MP said:

On Friday, I visited Brookside Park in Bromham and from speaking to residents, it is clear that there are a number of long-standing issues to be addressed and my visit further clarified the need for greater regulation and legislation to protect the rights of residents living in Park Homes.

On Thursday, I asked the Leader of the House for a debate to address some of the unique issues faced by home owners on these sites, such as the 10% commission charged when they sell their home and the general laxity of regulation and the recent problem of accessing the government's Energy Support programmes.

I am pleased that the government supported the private member's bill to have pitch fee increases change from RPI to CPI. I supported this change and now that both Houses have agreed on the text of the bill, it now waits for the final stage of Royal Assent when the bill will become an Act of Parliament.
