Park Homes

Visiting Brookside Park Homes site

Richard has championed the rights of park home residents over the last Parliament, ensuring they receive fair treatment and necessary support. Following the pandemic, Richard fought for those with irregular energy supplies, such as single energy meters or heating oil, to receive their cost-of-living support payments. Due to Richard’s interventions and collaboration with parliamentary colleagues, every park homeowner became eligible for the £400 Energy Bill Support Scheme Alternative Provisions, protecting them from rising energy prices.

Additionally, Richard joined the campaign to change the inflation metric for park home pitch fees from the historically higher RPI to the lower CPI. This change passed all stages in the House of Commons in under 12 minutes.

Richard will continue to fight for the rights and welfare of park home residents.
