In the House of Commons on Wednesday, Richard commended the Treasury’s response to the immediate challenge of Covid and for having an eye on the longer-term challenge of inflation.

Richard Fuller, MP for North East Bedfordshire said,

Since the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, we have seen 13 years of almost continuous Competitive Quantitative Easing so I took the opportunity to ask the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Steve Barclay, about the effects of this QE on his near-term economic plans.

The Chief Secretary replied that although the picture remains challenging, the Chancellor's plan for jobs is working.
