Richard has welcomed the Chancellor's announcement in today's Budget that a Green Savings Bond will be introduced, something which he has been campaigning for over recent months.

The bond will be offered through the government-backed savings organisation NS&I and will be closely linked to the UK’s sovereign green bond framework to allow savers to take part in the collective effort to tackle climate change

Speaking from the House of commons, Richard Fuller, said:

"I am delighted the Chancellor has listened to my representations and announced a new green bond. This is a welcome investment vehicle for all savers who wish to help combat climate change and support the country's drive towards net-zero."

The bond is expected to be available in the Summer of 2021.

Last week, Richard met again with the head of Firearms Licensing for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. The signs are that the new processes and increased personnel are helping to reduce the backlog and speed up the process for new applications and renewals.
