Richard Fuller MP addressing Harrold meeting

Richard's most recent public meeting was held at the Harrold Centre where one of the key questions explored was whether politics still bring people together in an age of division.

Richard Fuller MP commented:

It was a lively and energised town hall meeting in Harrold that included strong debate and plenty of thoughtful contributions from those attending.

We discussed a range of important issues including halal and kosher slaughter and the tragic murder of Henry Nowak. We also had an interesting conversation about the quality of modern politics and the importance of compromise. I made the case that while disagreement is inevitable, effective politics often depends on finding common ground rather than simply shouting the loudest.

We also explored the growing influence of data, AI and social media on political debate.

Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to a really stimulating discussion. It was also good to catch up with Borough Cllr Alison Foster and Odell Parish Council Chairman Cllr Barry Halton.

Richard's next 'town hall' meeting is taking place at Roxton Village Hall at 7pm on Thursday 16 July. All North Bedfordshire residents are welcome and it is their opportunity to put any question to Richard on local or national issues.
