Register by 10th March to attend Planning Inspectorate public hearings on East Park Energy solar plant

The East Park Energy proposal is on such a massive scale that it is considered a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP), which needs to go through a specific type of planning application requiring a Development Consent Order (DCO) with a decision ultimately made by at least one Secretary of State.

The next stage in the process is the Examination stage, which includes issue specific public hearings in Bedford on 17th and 18th March. If you wish to attend and/or speak at the hearings then you must register by March 10th.

The meetings are taking place at the King’s House Conference Centre, on Ampthill Rd, Bedford at the following times but will also be online:

Tuesday 17 March

  • Preliminary Meeting (9.30am for 10am start)
  • Open Floor Hearing (1.30pm for 2pm start)

Wednesday 18 March

  • Hearing on the Development Consent Order (9.30am for 10am start)
  • Hearings on BMV land and soil, and construction traffic (1.30pm for 2pm start)
