Richard warns that the Labour Government is coming after people's pensions next

Last week, Richard Fuller MP reasserted his warnings in this video that the Labour Government would be coming after people's pensions.

Richard, who is the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury said:

The Labour Government is coming after your pension. I said this at the General Election and I stand by that assertion. Every Labour government runs out of taxpayers’ money; though no Labour government has taxed and spent itself into difficulties as quickly as this government led by Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves.

A rushed, poorly thought-through £5bn of cuts to disabled people helped the chancellor plug the gap in her finances at the Spring Statement, but a yawning hole in her finances will likely reappear by October budget time.

She will come back for more taxes no doubt, but yesterday she laid the base for another money grabbing plan; the power to direct your pension, not to where your trustees think will get you the best return for your retirement, but rather where the Chancellor wants the money to be spent; on the pet schemes dreamt up by this Labour cabinet with zero business experience.

It cannot be acceptable that those who work hard all their lives to build a reasonable pot for their retirement can have that jeopardised on a whim of this Labour Government.
