Richard meeting Stop East Park Energy

Last week Richard met with the Stop East Park Energy group of residents - a campaign group formed to oppose the plans for a solar farm in North Bedfordshire which covers 1900 acres. You can find out more about the solar farm proposal on Richard's website at richardfuller.co.uk/campaigns/solar-farms

After meeting the group last week, Richard Fuller MP said:

I had my first post-election meeting with the Stop East Park Energy group of residents. We had a good discussion that re-enforced our commitment to renewable energy generation but also focussed on some of the shortcomings of the East Park Energy proposal.

I am seeking a meeting to discuss these issues with new Secretary of State, Ed Miliband.

This is one of the largest solar farm proposals in the country and is disproportionate to the area, particularly as we already have solar farms in place and other proposals which are progressing much more easily with local support.
