This week in PMQs, Richard asked the Deputy Prime Minister to require East West Rail to publish a full business case before the allocation of any more taxpayers’ money to the project.

Richard's question and the Deputy PM's answer can be watched here.

Richard Fuller MP said:

It was a particularly disappointing answer from the Deputy Prime Minister to my straightforward request that East West Rail must be required to publish a full business case before any decision to commit further taxpayers’ money to the project.

A clear “Yes” would have been better and would help allay fears that this project is running out of control financially.
