On Thursday in Parliament during a statement on Ukraine, Richard urged the Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, to redouble her efforts to secure the safe release of Shaun Pinner and other British Citizens held by Russian proxy forces in Ukraine.

Richard Fuller MP said:

As a long-standing member of the Ukrainian armed forces, Shaun is a prisoner of war and should be treated as such under the terms of the Geneva Convention. I asked the Foreign Secretary to work with Russia to secure Red Cross access to Shaun and other British citizens held by Russian proxies in Ukraine
