Job Retention Scheme Extended

Richard has welcomed the Chancellor's announcement that the Coronavirus Jobs Retention Scheme will be extended until the end of October.

Richard said: "The announcement means that this unprecedented support can continue for all sectors and regions with employees able to remain furloughed."

From August onwards there will be greater flexibility to support a transition back into the work place. At this point the Government will be asking employers to start sharing the costs of paying salaries but employees can be reassured they will continue to receive the same level of support as they do now, at 80% of their salary up to £2,500 a month.
