Houses of Parliament

The government has announced additional funding for local authorities to help them respond to Covid-19. In March, the Government announced £1.6bn of additional funding, and has now announced a further £1.6bn.

Richard has welcomed the news, saying: "Our local authorities are playing a vital role in the nation's response to Covid19, and it is right that they are financially supported for the work they are doing. This new funding means, for Central Bedfordshire Council, a total additional funding allocation of £13.5m, and for Bedford Borough, almost £9m."
