In the House of Commons on Wednesday, Richard voiced his opposition to the imposition of vaccine passports to the Vaccines Minister, the Right Honourable Nadhim Zahawi MP. The full video of Richard's intervention and the Minister's response can be watched here,

Commenting after his intervention, Richard said:

It was noticeable that there were more voices of dissent on Conservative benches opposing this possible measure than at any time with any previous Covid regulations.

There is no acceptable rationale for these further restraints on freedoms, and any Government of a free society should think long and hard before extending 'emergency' powers into a new normal in this manner.

When the concept of vaccine passports was first mooted in April, Richard wrote an article opposing their domestic implementation which you can read here.
