Grafham Water

Last week Richard visited Anglian Water’s treatment works at Grafham Water.

The water company has made four major investments at Grafham Water in the last 8 years which has included installing generators, solar panels and mound systems for resilience as well as changing to using hydrochloric acid rather than chlorine in water treatment.

Richard said: "I had an interesting visit to our local treatment plant and I was fascinated to learn that there was a 20% increase in water usage since lockdown started from increased usage while people stayed at home."
