Beauty Sector

As sectors of the economy start to re-open, there remain businesses which have not yet been permitted to open. This includes beauty clinics who have seen the return of hairdressing, pubs and restaurants but who are themselves prevented from opening.

They have demonstrated how they can continue to work safely and should be allowed to open as quickly as possible. We need to remove the uncertainty and sustain these businesses.

I have signed a cross party letter today calling on the Government to ensure that this sector, which employs 370,000 people, can re-open and play its part in getting the economy moving again.
