Last week, Richard held drop-in surgeries in Souldrop, Swineshead and Roxton. Drop-in surgeires are an opportunity for residents to pop along along without an appointment to discuss a matter of concern with their MP or just to have a chat about local or national policy issues.
Speaking after the surgeries, Richard Fuller MP said:
It was a busy couple of days of drop-in surgeries at the end of last week with big turnouts at Souldrop and Swineshead on Thursday, and record numbers coming along to Roxton on Friday. Many thanks to all who came to the surgeries and apologies to those who had to wait to see me.
It was also very useful to meet with the respective Chairs of each Parish Council prior to the surgeries to gain a first hand insight into the issues and opportunities facing each village. Thanks to all for giving up their time to meet with me.
It was also good to see Tom Wootton at the Roxton surgery who is the Conservative Mayoral Candidate for Bedford Borough . As a potential future Mayor it is important that Tom spends time meeting residents across the whole of Bedford Borough and he has now attended a number of my drop-in surgeries.
