Last week, Richard met with Family Business UK (FBUK), the largest organisation in the UK dedicated solely to supporting, representing and championing family businesses, their owners, leaders, NextGens, shareholders and executives.
After the meeting, Richard Fuller MP said:
The first budget of the Labour government introduced new taxes targeted at family owned businesses. Changes to Business Property Relief will affect the ability of the 4.8million family owned businesses to plan for the long term, scale up their business or even stay in business at all.
Family Business UK represents such business and it was interesting to learn of their current and future research on the impact of this new taxation.
The Labour Chancellor once again does not seem to have done a proper Impact Assessment so will not understand the risks created by these changes. Not smart.
