The new government is consulting on proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework and other changes to the planning system.

Commenting, Richard Fuller MP said:

Bedfordshire potentially faces an unprecedented series of major infrastructure changes in the years ahead; Universal studios, East West Rail, a massive solar plant and rumours of a new town at Tempsford.

I support steps to make planning more efficient, but denying local residents any voice when confronted by so many changes to where they live raises a number of concerns.

This consultation asks for opinions on over 100 changes being proposed to the National Planning Policy Framework and the answers to these could have a profound impact on our local area.

For more information please see the government website here. The consultation closes on 24 September.
