Recently, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) made a statement to the House of Commons on food price inflation.

Richard intervened on the Secretary of State to call for tax cuts as a way to put more money into people's pockets. The question can be watched here.

Commenting, Richard Fuller MP said:

I took the opportunity to premise that what people want most from their government is more money in their pockets, to spend as they see fit. To this end I urged the Secretary of State to speak with the Chancellor and Prime Minister and explore the scope to deliver tax cuts.
