The official opening of the new Oak Block at Lincroft Academy in Oakley took place last month and Richard was delighted to be invited.
Speaking afterwards, he said:
This impressive state-of-the-art teaching facility represents a significant investment in the education and future opportunities of local young people. The new building features 23 modern classrooms, breakout spaces, offices and small group learning rooms, alongside specialist facilities for Design Technology, Food Technology, Art, Graphics, IT and Music.
Students will also benefit from fantastic new resources including a kiln, recording studio, green screen, and a large Reading & Learning Centre complete with an outdoor terrace.
It was wonderful to see first-hand the outstanding learning environment that has been created. The Oak Block will provide students with the space, facilities and inspiration they need to thrive, develop new skills and achieve their full potential.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this fantastic project to life. It is a wonderful addition to Lincroft Academy and a real asset for the whole community.
