During BEIS (Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy) parliamentary questions this week, Richard Fuller MP asked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the Department to look at ways to improve the way we regulate the regulators.

The full exchange can be watched here.

Speaking after the question, Richard said:

Investment is attracted to areas which have agile, pro-growth regulatory environments, and in this country much of our regulation is delegated to agencies.

The oversight and assessment of these regulatory agencies is generally weak in the UK so I asked the Minister to explore ways to improve the effectiveness of these processes.
