Make your Mark 2020

Richard is supporting the UK Youth Parliament’s campaign to encourage young people to have their say and begin their democratic journey by voting on the policies they want to introduce or change.

The annual ‘Make Your Mark’ initiative is a UK-wide virtual ballot which gives anyone aged 11-18 the chance to vote on one UK-wide issue and one local issue that is most important to them. The vote closes on 30 November 2020.

The issues voted as most important will be the focus of the UK Youth Parliament’s 2021 campaigns. Members of Youth Parliament will campaign to influence UK Parliament and their local representatives, ensuring that the views of young people are listened to by decision-makers.

Make Your Mark is a UK Youth Parliament and British Youth Council campaign, supported by UK Parliament.

Richard said: “Interest and engagement in democracy for young people is vitally important so I hope as many 11-18 year olds as possible get involved in the Make Your Mark campaign."
