On Tuesday, the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Select Committee, which includes Richard Fuller MP,  took evidence from Ofgem's senior management team, including CEO, Jonathan Brearley, for the Committee's Inquiry on Energy pricing and the future of the Energy Market.

Richard said:

I questioned the CEO on whether Ofgem was being too soft on energy companies and insufficiently supporting consumers, many of whom have seen their direct debits increased excessively and by far greater amounts than are justified by the increase in wholesale prices and the adjustment of the energy price cap.

Richard's question and Ofgem's response can be watched here.
