This week, Richard has been visiting a number of businesses which were allowed to open from 12 April in the next stage of the roadmap out of lockdown.
In Biggleswade, Richard visited Maxwells Hair and Beauty and in Bletsoe, he enjoyed an outdoor lunch at the The Falcon Pub.

It was great to be out and about seeing so many people enjoying the latest stage of the reopening.
Ian at Maxwells in Biggleswade showed me round both of his great salons and explained how he has invested in screens, masks and other protective measures to create a feeling of safety and security without spoiling the relaxed and professional environment. I also took a moment to chat with Frances, one of the customers waiting for her appointment. Frances won my prize for taking best advantage of the day: she had already been swimming, was getting her hair done and was then off to do some shopping. Meanwhile she told me that her husband was off down the pub. It was a delight to meet Frances and I loved her positive spirit.
It was also a great feeling to be able to enjoy a pub lunch again after so long in beautiful sunshine at the The Falcon at Bletsoe. It was an excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings.
