Richard was delighted to address the fourth annual Biggleswade Business Forum at Symmetry Park, bringing together businesses and organisations to hear about the local and wider business context and connect with others in the community.
Richard said:
I spoke about the many opportunities, as well as the challenges, facing businesses of all sizes in the coming years. Bedfordshire is the hub of so many nationally significant infrastructure projects, bringing the potential for investment, growth and new jobs.
But we also need to make sure local businesses and young people benefit from these opportunities.
I particularly encouraged this group to work together to find ways to give young people valuable work experience and a first opportunity in the workplace, despite the many hurdles this Government has put in employers’ way.
My thanks to Biggleswade Town Council for organising, to Mayor Jonathan Woodhead for welcoming us and to Tristan Big Box for hosting the event.
