Earlier this week, Richard met with meeting Diana Overton, Group Managing Director of Frontier Agriculture, at the Agricultural Industries Confederation’s (AIC) parliamentary event on Tuesday to hear more about AIC’s work supporting the agricultural industry and to discuss the role our agri-supply sector plays in supporting British agriculture and strengthening our national food security.

Frontier Agriculture operates 46 sites across the country, but their facility in Sandy is their second largest in terms of employees. The local team in Sandy carries out vital work processing, cleaning, treating, and storing seed, as well as managing key crop protection stores that serve our food supply.
Ensuring that high-skilled, essential businesses like Frontier Agriculture continue to thrive in North Bedfordshire is critical for both our local economy and our national supply chain. With the UK currently producing around 60% of the food we consume, boosting domestic production is critical for our national security and defence.
I am looking forward to visiting the site later this year.
