Due to a decision by Morrisons to close their Shortstown Daily store, unfortunately Shortstown Post Office branch will also need to close. The store, and therefore the Post Office branch, is due to close on Sunday 9th August 2026.
The Post Office are working to restore services to the area and to this end are actively advertising for a retailer to replace Morrisons in this space and take on the Post Office as a going concern.
Applications closed on July 10th so we will quickly have a good idea on the likelihood of the store and Post Office reopening.
In the meantime, the Post Office have provided the attached information of nearby outlets for customers.
