With everything going on in the world right now, Armed Forces Week is reminder of the vital role our service personnel and veterans play in keeping us safe. Earlier this week, Richard joined Help for Heroes in Parliament to hear about their campaign, ‘The People’s Promise’.

The charity does brilliant work supporting veterans across the UK, and their newly published plan for veterans focuses on practical ways to help ensure they receive consistent support.
It was great to talk with Sasha Misra, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, and discuss the goals of the roadmap including streamlining the path to physical and mental health support and ensuring consistent and reliable access to support for service leavers transitioning back into civilian lives.
We also discussed Help for Heroes' 20th anniversary coming up in October 2027. Reaching a two-decade milestone is a fantastic achievement, and I wish them well as they continue their important work to support our service personnel
