Richard attended the latest meeting of Bedfordshire Great Ouse Valley Environmental Trust (BedsGOVET) where they shared an update of their actions and plans to identify and deal with water pollution.
Speaking afterwards, Richard Fuller MP said:
One of the things we should be most proud of in our area is the River Great Ouse. It's a fantastic natural asset, but one we're putting ever increasing pressure on with Universal Studios and the potential new town at Tempsford.
That’s why attending BedsGOVET, a local charity that seeks to monitor and understand where pollution is coming from in our river, is such a valuable thing to do.
Great to hear the latest from the charity, and I support their future efforts to identify where pollution is coming from and making sure we can do something to address it. I am also pleased that they sit on the Water Management Partnership I proposed two years ago, which is chaired by Professor Paul Leinster
