Richard recently attended an exercise session at Joanna Lynne Coaching in Biggleswade.
Speaking after the visit, Richard commented:
I had such an eye‑opening conversation about the challenges some women face in postnatal recovery and getting back into exercise that I ended up running late for my next meeting.
The discussion took place at Joanna Lynne Coaching, a space designed to help women find safe and effective exercise at all ages and stages of motherhood, not just pelvic‑floor work, but a whole approach to avoiding long‑term harm after pregnancy.
Hearing from Joanna, and the women there, really highlighted how easy it is to do too much, too soon, and how long‑term issues can develop without the right guidance.
Not every woman will face these challenges, but there’s clearly room to improve postnatal advice, including ideas like a “Mummy MOT” with a Pelvic Health physiotherapist.
I’m keen to explore this further and would welcome thoughts from constituents - either here or privately.
