The latest funding round of British Gas’ Energy for Tomorrow Sports programme is open to sports clubs in North Bedfordshire, delivered in partnership with Team GB and Paralympics GB.

This programme is designed to help community sports clubs across the country cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions, and reinvest savings back into local grassroots sport and communities.

In 2024, British Gas’ Energy for Tomorrow committed £1 million over five years to make community sports facilities more sustainable. Last year’s pilot, supported by Crowdfunder, unlocked a total of £141,000 in funding for the sports clubs to spend on low carbon improvements such as solar panel installation, heat pumps and LED lighting, insulation.
