Last year, having grown tired of the delays in fixing problems on the Biggleswade and Sandy rail line, I challenged the new chief operating officer to make good on their promises.
Last Autumn he told me that he expected the addition of drivers and a change in timetabling would lead to the promised improvements.
I was hopeful but not at all convinced. So I asked him then to come to Biggleswade to meet rail users in the New Year.
Good to his word, the Chief Operating Officer came to present the most recent statistics following these changes and to answer questions .
Though it is early days, there is a noticeable trend in improving reliability. Sadly few local rail users were able to attend. So tell me what you think. Are things getting better?
