Richard attending the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal Launch

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading ‘end of life charity' caring for people with any illness they are likely to die from including Alzheimer’s (and other forms of dementia), heart, liver, kidney and lung disease, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, and advanced cancer.

Richard met with actress and Marie Curie ambassador Alison Steadman OBE earlier this month at an event in Parliament to celebrate the charity’s annual Great Daffodil Appeal.

By donating and wearing a daffodil pin supports Marie Curie Nurses to provide expert end of life care when there’s no cure, whatever the illness.

The money raised also helps fund the charity’s free support line and webchat, available to anyone living with a terminal illness and to those close to them. It offers practical guidance and emotional support on any aspect of dying, death and bereavement, ensuring no one must face these moments alone.

Richard Fuller MP said:

I am proud to support Marie Curie UK and their mission to ensure that everyone at end of life can get the care and support they need, when and where they need it most.

I encourage those across North Bedfordshire to show their support for the Great Daffodil Appeal in any way they can. Every donation is a chance to ensure that more people receive expert care and support at the end of life.
