A1 closed this weekend

A1 diversion map

National Highways have informed Richard that in order to install a culvert close to the A1 carriageway they will be closing the A1 in both directions between Tempsford and Black Cat roundabout this weekend from 9pm on Friday 7th November to 5am on Monday 10th November 2025.

The diversion is as follows:

If you are heading northbound:

  • leave the A1 at Tempsford
  • head north on Tempsford and St Neots Road
  • then head west on the A428 to rejoin the A1. 

If you are heading southbound, follow the diversion in the opposite direction.
