Richard recently caught up with both the Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner for Bedfordshire.

Richard Fuller MP said:

I had a very useful call with Chief Constable Rodenhurst.  We started with issues of anti social behaviour in Sandy, Biggleswade and Bromham where residents have written to me with concerns. We then discussed the long term on policing from Universal Studios.

Finally I was delighted to hear about the serious attention the Chief Constable is paying to improving the woeful process of providing gun licences. I am hopeful he will have good news to share soon which will be a relief to law abiding gun owners across the county.

It was also a useful update with John Tizard, Bedfordshire PCC, ahead of the additional focused policing in some Bedfordshire towns including Biggleswade. I will be joining him on a town centre walkabout soon as part of this Safer Streets Summer Initiative.

The aim is to crack down on anti social behaviour over a short period with the hope that patterns of behaviour will change. If successful this year, I hope funds will be available next year to offer to Sandy.
