Central Bedfordshire is coordinating a consultation on Bedfordshire's Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) working with Bedford Borough Council and Luton Borough Council to identify areas of opportunity to help reverse a decline in nature and support wildlife recovery across the county.

The consultation is now open and runs until Sunday, 7 September, 2025.

To take part and help shape the future of Bedfordshire’s natural environment, please visit www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/lnrs.

The Bedfordshire LNRS is a key part of the last government’s Environment Improvement Plan 2023, aiming to reverse the decline of nature and enhance the benefits it provides such as cleaner air and water, climate resilience, and improved health and wellbeing. The LNRS outlines a shared, long-term vision to restore and enhance nature across Bedfordshire and your voice is essential in shaping it.
