Richard recently met with Central Bedfordshire Council leader, Cllr Adam Zerny, and fellow Bedfordshire MPs to discuss the scale of housing development that has taken place across the county in recent years and how the necessary infrastructure to support this growth has fallen far short of required levels.

With significant further development on the horizon, it is essential that public services are upgraded to match current demand. My fellow Conservative Blake Stephenson MP and I are fully behind Cllr Zerny's efforts and were very happy to co-sign his letter to Housing Secretary, Angela Rayner.
For many years I have been arguing for 'Infrastructure First' and I hope the government will accept the irrefutable arguments made in the letter and provide the support that Cllr Zerny has requested.
