Labour’s massive hike in National Insurance, the "Jobs Tax”, is hitting businesses large and small and resulting in delayed investment, price increases and a squeeze on wages. Last month, Richard visited the McDonald's in Wyboston to learn more about how these increases will affect them.
Richard Fuller MP said,
Even solid businesses like the McDonald's franchise in Wyboston are having to take stock.
After a good discussion with the franchise owner and his business manager, I was off into the kitchen to fulfil a lifetime goal : to make a Big Mac. Turns out that even a novice like me can make one that tastes great.
Love ‘em (like me) or not, businesses like McDonalds offer vital opportunities for young people to start their working careers and for others with caring responsibilities to find hours of work that fit their requirements.
Britain’s jobs market is working but this government is taking a wrecking ball to British enterprise.
