Richard Fuller at Willington Lock Quarry

Last month, Richard visited Willington Lock quarry near Great Barford.

Richard Fuller MP said:

Breedon have been operating quarries in Bedfordshire for over twenty years so it was a real pleasure to have a tour of their Willington Lock quarry.

With the potential for large, transformative infrastructure projects like Luton Airport expansion, Universal Studios, more housing and even (the awful) East West Rail project, it makes sense environmentally and economically to source materials such as aggregates from as close as possible .

I asked some tough questions about vehicle movements, environmental impacts and relationships with local residents. In general I was reassured by their answers. Let me know your views.
