Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) have written to Richard with good news regarding improvements to peak services to and from Biggleswade.
Starting from Monday 16 December, they are introducing an additional peak service in each direction between Peterborough and London King’s Cross, which will bring the total up to five in each peak.
In the morning, this additional service will depart Biggleswade at 08:08 and arrive into London King’s Cross for 08:44.
The additional return journey will depart London King’s Cross at 16:42 and arrive back at Biggleswade at 17:17.
These two additional services will provide some extra capacity and more journey options for those travelling from Biggleswade in the busier peak periods and represents a welcome addition to the service.
Richard Fuller MP commented:
Whilst of course this news is extremely welcome, it doesn't assuage the many other issues that continue to plague the line on a far too regular basis. I will be meeting with GTR at an MP drop-in event in Parliament on Monday and will raise these ongoing reliability problems at that time.
