Richard recently visited M&S in Biggleswade and enjoyed a tour of the store with Deputy Manager, Carly Thomson.
The visit was organised by The British Retail Consortium (BRC) as part of their #BuyIntoRetail campaign and their vision for the future of retail to:
- Unlock economic growth, everywhere, in every village, town and city, right across the UK.
- Provide highly skilled, more productive and better paid jobs for the future as the largest private sector employer, supporting 20% of UK worker.
- Help the UK achieve a greener tomorrow by driving innovation and supporting a circular economy.

I was delighted to hear how well the store is performing and also hear first hand what a good employer M&S are considered to be.
Thanks also to Carly’s colleague Paula for sharing her knowledge and insights gleaned from her years in the business.
