Summary of changes to Beds routes affected by timetable changes from 1 Sep

Stagecoach have written to advise Richard of several important changes happening to local bus services from Sunday 1st September.

Richard Fuller MP said

The changes to the Stagecoach timetable affect two routes that service Bedfordshire. Please see the Stagecoach summary below and the attached brochure for changes across the region.

Service 905 Bedford - Cambridge

Due to continued challenging traffic conditions with the A428 Black Cat Scheme, at both St Neots and the roundabout itself, we have adjusted our timings to ensure that the timetable reflects actual timings in Cambridge. We are in active discussions to try to secure support for additional resources to help with the punctuality of this service.

Service X5 Bedford - Oxford

Due to the continuing challenges of low passenger numbers in the off-peak period, Monday to Friday, we have made the reluctant decision to reduce frequencies to every 60 minutes in the off-peak period. On Saturdays, the X5 will operate hourly in full to Oxford, and every 30 minutes to Milton Keynes.
