Richard Fuller MP has welcomed the news that Central Bedfordshire Council has introduced a discounted travel scheme for young people using funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan grant received from the UK government. You can read more about the government grant here.
Under this scheme called the YP Card, those aged 18 and under will be able to travel using bus transport around Central Bedfordshire and to some nearby towns and cities for a maximum fare of just £1 per single journey.as long as the journey is direct and starts or finishes in Central Bedfordshire.
The YP Card is available for all young residents of Central Bedfordshire aged 18 and under and can be used to make as many journeys as you like at the discounted £1 maximum single fare!
