The King's Award for Enterprise

Last week the winners of the King’s Awards for Enterprise were announced and Richard was delighted to learn that a Biggleswade business was among the winners. The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses and are valid for five years. These are awarded for outstanding achievement in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Richard Fuller MP said:

I am particularly pleased to congratulate Smith Myers Limited from Biggleswade, experts in support and rescue technology, who received their award in the Innovation Category for their Artemis project. You can find out more about this excellent company here: https://smithmyers.com/

There are many benefits of receiving a King's Award for Enterprise, including:

  • Use of the Royal Emblem for five years - this Royal seal of approval helps business get noticed, above and beyond the competition.
  • Great boost to staff morale - the award is presented locally, by HM Lord-Lieutenants and sometimes by a Member of the Royal Family.
  • Media spotlight – recipients gain positive media coverage.
  • Attending a Royal Reception hosted by His Majesty The King or another senior Royal.

Applications have now opened for the 2025 King’s Awards for Enterprise and will close at 1pm on September 12th 2024.
