Last week, Richard attended the launch of The World Watch List in Parliament - Open Doors’ annual ranking of the 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution.
Speaking afterwards, Richard Fuller MP said:
I believe that religious freedom is a fundamental right of all of us, so I make a special effort each year to meet with the team behind the World Watch List report on the persecution of Christians.
The report by Open Doors provides very detailed statistics, analysis of trends in persecution and personal testimonies.
Around our world Muslims, Jews, Christians and those of other faiths are facing growing persecution and intolerance - frequently between groups of different faiths.
We should be vigilant in reinforcing religious freedoms everywhere, and opposing those who look on people of different faiths as inferior or unworthy.
