This week, Richard went to Bedford Hospital to meet with the new Chair of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Richard Sumray.
Speaking after the visit, Richard Fuller MP said:
I am grateful to Richard Sumray for giving up so much of his time to discuss general issues in the NHS and future goals for Bedford and Luton Hospitals.
Richard brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the oversight of hospitals and healthcare and since taking up his post earlier this year has been absorbing information to see how best he can support the Hospital Chief Executive and the wider leadership team.
Over two hours we discussed the infrastructure of the hospital, national NHS capital budgets, my concerns about primary care in our area and the knock on effect for the hospital amongst many other issues. I look forward to checking in again with him soon.
