Last Thursday, Richard held a Town Hall meeting at St Andrew's Church in Biggleswade. These meetings provide an opportunity in a public forum to hear Richard's views on current issues and to ask him questions on any local or national topic.
After the meeting, Richard Fuller MP said:
Many thanks to those who took the time to attend my 'town hall' meeting in Biggleswade on Thursday evening.
We had a wide ranging conversation which included discussions about the rail line serving Biggleswade, changes at Ivel Valley surgery, availability of pharmacies in Biggleswade and anti-social behaviour in the town.
I have written to GTR to ask about resilience on the line and whether additional drivers have been placed on standby at the Peterborough depot and if they have addressed heat resilience on the line and what measures could be taken to mitigate extreme weather. I will also be asking Network Rail if late night freight movements have increased in the last year.
I have already written to the Integrated Care Board on pharmacy provision in Biggleswade and I will be following up with the local pharmacies to understand pressures on demand.
I will be talking to the Police and Crime Commissioner about the examples of antisocial behaviour raised with me and while we had a positive discussion around the changes at Ivel Valley surgery, these are early days in the transition and I will be monitoring the situation closely.

Richard's next Town Hall meeting is on Thursday 17th August 6-7.30pm at Riseley Village Hall, Gold St, Riseley, MK44 1EG. No booking is necessary.
