On Monday, during questions to the Home Office, Richard questioned the Immigration Minister, the Rt. Hon. Robert Jenrick MP, about the recent event where eights inmates absconded from Yarl's Wood.

Richard's question and the Minister's reply can be watched here and read here

Richard Fuller MP said:

I highlighted that questions need to be answered as to how 8 men were seemingly able to abscond with such comparative ease, and also the interaction between Serco and the police.

I also commended Bedfordshire Police under Chief Constable Trevor Rodenhurst, for working closely with other forces to ensure that all but 1 of the detainees have now been rearrested as well as a number of individuals who facilitated them.
