Bedfordshire Proclamation
Bedfordshire Proclamation

On Sunday 12 September, Richard attended the proclamation ceremony to formally announce the beginning of the reign of HM King Charles III in Bedfordshire following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Speaking after the event, Richard said:

It was an honour to attend the county of Bedfordshire’s Proclamation Ceremony. The proclamation was delivered by the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Lady Jane Clifford and supported by the new HM Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Susan Lousada. Prayers were led by the Bishop of Bedford.

It was wonderful to see the county’s proclamation so well attended.

God save the King.
