This week, Richard 'planted' a Remembrance tribute in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance in New Palace Yard, Westminster, to mark 100 years of the Royal British Legion. The dedication on the stake pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of North East Bedfordshire.
Speaking on Armistice Day, Richard Fuller, Member of Parliament for North East Bedfordshire, said:
Today we remember the service of the men and women who laid down their lives in the ultimate sacrifice for their country and our freedoms.
I was proud to place a stake at in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance on behalf of the men and women of Bedfordshire. This is the first time that such an event has taken place in New Palace Yard in Parliament and all 650 UK Parliamentary constituencies are represented. A poignant and moving tribute.
